Irish Proverb Gift Books

These Irish Proverb Gift Books are now finished, and ready for good homes. :) Each book is lovingly bound with a hand painted cover, and printed calligraphy to match. Six different color schemes are currently available through my Etsy shop, and other custom color requests are always welcome.

Matted Calligraphy Collage now available on Etsy

This hand lettered collage was just listed on Etsy, and is the first in a series of my larger matted collages with paste paper embellishments. I hand painted the squares, stenciled copper and gold leaves on them, wrapped them, and hand lettered the quote in gold.


This 8x14 work of art is matted in a cream colored single mat, raised up slightly to accommodate the squares, and ready to frame. "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant." -R.L.Stevenson

These are the new covers for the first six in a series. They are still a work in progress.....the calligraphy will be added sometime later this week, printed in colors to match the covers. Click on the image for a much better view! :)

This quote makes such a perfect gift, for so many occasions, that I just had to find a way to create an extra special presentation for it. I have individually hand painted *all* of the paste paper covers, and have used coordinating or contrasting papers for the back covers. The square embellishments on the front are a combination of the two, with the smaller square being wrapped with metallic thread. Each is tied with a sheer ribbon for a special touch. More photos to follow, when they are finished! 

Custom Calligraphy Gift Books - Emerson, Thoreau, etc.

Please visit my Etsy shop for a closer look at these 3.5 inch gift books. Each one is individually lettered in gold italic calligraphy on a soft cream colored artist grade paper. They are covered in various colorful papers from my stash, and embellished with a square collage motif which is wrapped with metallic thread. I package them in matching sheer gift bags, for a nice touch. Several quotes are available, but I also welcome custom orders for the same price. Quotes between 17-34 words fit nicely, and they can usually be shipped within a week. :)
